The Company
(From the Founder’s View)
The guiding principle in the creation of Optim Electric was to turn customers into clients. The electrical industry in the past decades has turned into a soulless, for-profit machine, designed to separate customers from their money. To be fair, it seems that most industry is set up this way.
Clients, on the other hand, are those whom we have a duty to serve. It is in the best interest of the client that we must conduct ourselves. This is true for lawyers and doctors, and ought to be the same for tradespeople as well.
This is how we do it:
Understanding
More than just understanding the problem at hand, it’s about understanding the clients workflow; future plans; the facility process flow; budgets; every facet of the facility and personnel are taken into account when analyzing the issue at hand.
Transparency
After a full understanding of the whole picture, we’ll lay out a range of the most optimal solutions as if clients business was our own… even if the solutions are cheaper, or not electrical at all. Open; Honest; Truthful.
Follow-Through
During every stage of the process, the common thread is to keep the client interest at heart. From discovery meetings, to estimating, to installation, acceptance testing and after-care. When in doubt, discuss and serve the best interest.
What matters most
It comes down to people caring about people. I have friends, I have parents, and loved ones… how I would treat them is exactly how I want to treat each and every client, because at the end of the day we should be trusted friends in business, progress, growth and success.
The Founder
Kyle Cox

In the spring of ’24, I began a journey through the world of amateur radio (i.e. HAM radio) as a way of furthering the resiliency and preparedness for my family. The rabbit hole got deep… I ended up volunteering for different organizations (private, radio clubs, emergency services) and events, finding a passion for using radios to help others. Unfortunately, after the first purchase of beginner radios, the cost to operate home and mobile stations of any real efficacy dramatically increases. I began a search for how to generate more funding to support the volunteer efforts. After much thought, my wife and I decided on starting a business… a business of helping people with electrical services (something I already know), to fund helping other people with radios (something I’m beginning).
Thus far, we’ve helped with county fairs, community events, and different races (human and animal focused).

In some events, the goal was to provide status and support for racers. In others, the volunteers supported LEO/EMS with situation reporting and locating lost children.
Future plans include heading up the planning and coordination for events, and more involved support to the State Emergency Management Office.

Going forward…
It’s unclear what the future will have in store, but it’s our whole-hearted belief that focusing on the values will get us all someplace better. Honesty in our dealings with others; Service to our family, community, and business partners; and Dependability to all those around us.
